Televampirism

Vampire

night mode navy glow
quivering, yelping when tapped or flipped
legged belly scuttling and ceasing
the battery-clock commands
cybernetically-cerebrospinally tapped in
to night mode neuropunk slabs of glass and pixel acid
pocket parasitoids flinching and wailing at circadian-scribed umbilical reinsertions

all glutting and starving and dying and taking first breaths for the nth time
while the undermoon comes up - click by click - from below the ashlands and collapses again
omnivorous omnipositors loading clouds with eggs until they droop down
swollen like fattened ticks
smothering and dissolving network loops and larynxes as fake, still air flutters out for good

hematophagic hierophants and heresiarchs with sickles and scepters
seated at the left and right hands of
linked and split and linked and split and linked and split and linked and split and linked and split
they won’t stop
Circadia snaps phantom fingers
somniphobic scopophilic bright-bug hijackers
drawing in, slurping down, feeding off, living through
don’t shut me off!
